Our Story

Baykar Garden was founded in 2015 by a group of passionate gardeners and landscape designers who fell in love with the intricate beauty and cultural richness of Turkish gardens. What began as a small blog to document our travels and discoveries across Turkey's most beautiful gardens evolved into a comprehensive resource for garden enthusiasts worldwide.

Our journey has taken us from the historic Ottoman gardens of Istanbul to the Mediterranean coastal gardens of Antalya, and everywhere in between. We've studied ancient techniques, collaborated with local gardeners, and adapted traditional designs for modern spaces.

Today, Baykar Garden serves as a bridge between Turkish garden traditions and global garden lovers, offering inspiration, practical advice, and cultural insights to help you create your own slice of Turkish paradise, no matter where you are in the world.

Founder & Lead Designer

A landscape architect with over 15 years of experience, Aylin has studied garden design in both Turkey and Europe. Her passion lies in adapting historic garden concepts for contemporary spaces.

Elif Kaya

Botanist & Plant Specialist

With a PhD in Botany from Istanbul University, Elif specializes in Mediterranean plant species and their adaptation to various climates. She curates our plant recommendations and care guides.

Mehmet Demir

Garden Historian

Mehmet has dedicated his career to researching Ottoman and Turkish garden history. His extensive knowledge of historical design principles informs much of our content about traditional gardens.
